Senior Structural Engineer  -  Sudbury Region

Guildwood Group has been engaged to attract & secure a Structural Engineering professional with 7 years + experience. This position is part of a matrix of engineering skills with a wide scope of activities in feasibility studies, R&D, green field development & construction and brown field operations.

 

This position requires technical experience in either heavy industrial / manufacturing sector or mill / mining. Sound knowledge in structural steel and concrete foundations is highly preferred.

 

Included are the perfunctory duties such as drawing verification & approvals as well as estimation, client development / presentations and project management activities. The engineering department has a full contingent of all support services on site. Additionally this position shares a significant impact on client development and project completion.

Project Controls Manager  -  Toronto, Canada

Guildwood Group has been engaged to recruit a Project Controls Manager. This position is pivotal to success of a $1.2B mine development & construction project. The mandate is to develop & implement provide project controls systems for all EPCM & construction activities.

 

This position requires that the Manager have extensive experience with very large scale industrial projects. This position will provide a pivotal role in the development & execution of contracting strategies, scheduling & budget/cost estimating.

 

Establish and direct project reporting & progress tracking systems. Also implement systems to track costs, and spend /  budget schedules.  Must be familiar with CAPEX. Will also provide risk analysis and business model validations.

 

Preference will be given to those with experience with international & more extreme geographical locations. 

 

Minimal requirements include 10+ years of supply chain / procurement experience in a greenfield project environment. Preference will be given to those with mining and/or mineral processing experience. A university degree in Engineering or Business Management is requisite.

Direct participation in all purchase and contracting negotiations and agreements. Will also evaluate  suppliers and contractors, scheduling, logistics, metrics, design specifications & quality assurance.
